A grounded, compassionate path through menopause—back to your body, your wisdom, and your authentic self.
Menopause is not something to get through or fix. It is a profound midlife threshold—one that asks us to listen more closely to our bodies, tend our nervous systems, and reclaim parts of ourselves that may have been muted by years of over-giving, striving, or surviving.
Empowered Menopause is a two-part course designed to support you through this transition with clarity, safety, and deep self-compassion—blending medical insight with lived wisdom, and science with soul.
What This Course Is
This is menopause education that honours the whole woman.
You’ll be guided by a medical doctor who has walked this path herself—offering clear, trustworthy information and the embodied practices that helped her navigate her own challenging menopause transition.
This course is for you if you’re ready to:
- Understand what’s happening in your body
- Make informed, empowered decisions about hormone therapy
- Improve sleep, intimacy, and self-care in ways that actually feel nourishing
- Reconnect with your feminine wisdom, creativity, and inner authority
Part One: Hormone Basics

Understanding your body and making empowered choices
Part One offers clear, grounded education about what is actually happening in your body during the menopause transition, alongside honest, lived reflection.
You’ll be guided through:
- Hormone physiology—how and why hormonal shifts occur to better understand what is happening to us on this hormonal roller coaster
- The risks and benefits of hormone therapy, explained calmly and clearly so you can make informed choices without fear or pressure
You’ll then be invited into a more personal, sister‑to‑sister conversation through three dedicated videos on:
- Progesterone
- Estrogen
- Testosterone
In each, Dr Johnston reviews the basics of the hormone, shares her own experience, and reflects on what she wishes she’d known sooner. This includes a practical “show and tell” of the different options and approaches she has personally tried, and her “sister-to-sister” advice from what she learned along the way
For the final teaching we discuss stress and menopause—exploring how this transition is often life’s way of shining a bright light on the parts of our lives that are no longer working, and inviting us into deeper honesty, change, and self‑care.
This is not about being told what to do. It’s about understanding your body, listening to your life, and reclaiming your inner authority.
Part Two: Sleep, Sex & Self‑Care

Learning to care for yourself—body, mind, and spirit
Menopause often reveals where we’ve been living out of alignment—with our needs, our rhythms, and our deeper selves.
In Part Two, we turn toward how to live well in this season, tending not just symptoms, but the woman experiencing them.
Sleep
Learn to support sleep when hormones are shifting:
- Learning the foundations of healthy sleep hygiene
- Moving from beta waves of our busy day into more meditative alpha waves to help us settle into the delta waves of deep sleep
- The role of mindset in promoting healthy sleep
- Supplements to support sleep and medications to consider
Sex & Erotic Energy
Menopause can change sexuality—but it can also deepen it.
You’ll explore:
- Understanding physical changes in vaginal and vulvar tissues and how local estrogen can support comfort and tissue health
- Reframing sex beyond performance or obligation
- Reconnecting with erotic energy as a life force—creative, sensual, and alive
- Exploring new, authentic ways of relating to desire, pleasure, and intimacy
Self‑Care – Supporting ourselves through this transition
You’ll be invited into a more compassionate relationship with yourself through:
- Learning and practising healthier boundaries
- Cultivating self‑compassion instead of self‑criticism
- Regulating your nervous system through simple, embodied practices
- Expressing emotions safely and honestly
- Embracing your cyclic nature, carving out time for rest
- Nurturing your spirit through creativity, joy, and play
- Reconnecting with your feminine essence and inner wisdom
Bonus Content: Menopause: A Portal to Our Wisdom Years
As a special bonus, Empowered Menopause includes Dr. Shana’s much-loved talk Menopause: A Portal to Our Wisdom Years—an empowering and thought-provoking reflection on menopause as a time of transformation and growth rather than a problem to be solved. This session invites you to zoom out from symptoms and strategies and see this life stage as an initiation into deeper self-trust, purpose, and embodied wisdom. Woven with personal storytelling, gentle humor, and soulful insight, this bonus content offers a spacious integration of both Part One and Part Two—helping you make meaning of your experience and reconnect with the deeper invitation of this season: to come home to yourself in body, mind, and spirit.
*If purchased separately, both part 1 and part 2 include the bonus content

My hope is that you come away from this journey with the felt sense that there is nothing wrong with you. You are not broken—you are moving through a profound process of growth and transformation, and you are not alone.
Sending you so much love sister
